Remote Sensing Satellite Launch: Big Step for Pakistan Space Program

Remote Sensing Satellite Pakistan Space Program
Islamabad – Pakistan is set to launch a new advanced remote sensing satellite from China’s Xichang Satellite Launch Center on Thursday. Final preparations for the launch have been completed, and scientists from SUPARCO (Pakistan’s Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission) are present at the site.
The satellite will be launched between 7:00 and 8:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time. The event marks a major step forward in Pakistan’s space program.
A video message from Project Director Dr. Muhammad Yaseer will be broadcast during the launch ceremony. The launch will also be shown live at SUPARCO headquarters in Islamabad.
This new satellite will help Pakistan in monitoring infrastructure development, urban expansion, and providing early warnings for floods and earthquakes. It will also assist in identifying geographical risks and support the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Currently, Pakistan already has five satellites in orbit, and this mission adds to the country’s growing space capabilities.
