PTI leaders caught over Imran’s confrontation policy
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party is facing serious trouble, and many people inside the party believe it’s because Imran Khan, the jailed founder, is refusing to talk to the government. Despite repeated requests from senior party leaders, he has rejected every suggestion for political dialogue.
As a result, PTI leaders and workers are being arrested and sentenced. Many top PTI leaders, including opposition members of Parliament and the Punjab Assembly, have already been given 10-year prison sentences related to the May 9 cases. More such punishments are expected soon.
Some senior leaders, like Shah Mehmood Qureshi and others, even wrote public letters from jail, asking Khan to consider dialogue. They said talks were the only peaceful way forward.
But Imran Khan stood firm, saying there would be no talks with the government or coalition parties, only with the military — which has not responded to him.
Party members are now deeply worried. They fear that if this aggressive approach continues, more leaders will be jailed or disqualified. Some believe the party could lose its strength in Parliament and become politically weak.
Despite internal warnings, Imran Khan has not changed his position. With no dialogue and rising legal troubles, PTI now faces a serious crisis. Many leaders are behind bars, some are hiding, and others are unsure about the party’s future.
Whether Imran Khan rethinks his decision remains to be seen, but many of his colleagues are already facing the consequences.
