Private hajj scheme applications open for new pilgrims in Pakistan
The federal government has started accepting applications for Hajj 2026 from August 4. The Ministry of Religious Affairs has also started collecting the first installment of Hajj dues.
According to the ministry’s spokesperson, Muhammad Umar Butt, two major changes have been made this year:
There is no age limit for applicants.
People who have performed Hajj before can now apply again.
How to Apply
Pilgrims can submit their applications through designated banks or the official online portal. The registration will be based on a first-come, first-served basis.
Already registered people can submit their dues from August 4 to 9.
If seats are still available, new applicants will be able to apply from August 11 to 16.
The collection of dues will stop as soon as the seats are filled.
Hajj 2026 Cost
The cost of the Hajj 2026 package is expected to be between Rs 1.15 million to Rs 1.25 million. This includes the mandatory animal sacrifice (Dam-e-Shukr).
The second installment will be collected starting from November 1.
Age Limit for Children
Children born after March 1, 2014 are not eligible to apply.
The ministry has advised all interested people to apply quickly and complete their documents on time to secure their seats.
