Bad News for Electricity Consumers: 19 Paisa Per Unit Increase Sought in August Fuel Adjustment
Good news for electricity consumers as they can anticipate lower charges in the upcoming billing cycles.
The Power Division has announced the possibility of a further reduction in electricity prices by Rs. 0.77 per unit, including tax. This decrease will be applied in the fourth quarter under the fuel price adjustment category.
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) conducted a hearing on the application on August 4, as per the Power Division’s press release. Following this, a negative adjustment of Rs. 1.89 per unit is expected to be reflected in the electricity bills for August, September, and October.
