Trump Threatens India with More Tariffs Again
Trump India More Tariffs
In a recent interview with an American TV channel, U.S. President Donald Trump shared his views on global trade, oil prices, and international relations.
Trump stated that he is not concerned about rising oil prices, even if they increase by 150% to 250% in a year. He emphasized that the U.S. will initially impose low tariffs on the pharmaceutical industry.
He accused U.S. banks of discriminatory behavior toward his administration.
Trump once again warned India of additional tariffs. He said a new round of tariffs against India may be announced within the next 24 hours, mainly due to India’s continued purchase of oil from Russia.
Trump criticized India’s high tariffs, saying, “The problem with India is that their tariffs are too high.”
Regarding energy prices, he remarked, “If oil prices go down, Putin might stop killing people.”
He also criticized the European Union, stating that if the EU fails to meet its responsibilities, the U.S. will impose extra tariffs on them as well.
On the subject of China, Trump said he has a good relationship with Chinese President Xi Jinping. He added that if a deal is reached, he will meet Xi later this year. Trump claimed that a trade agreement with China is near and that China depends heavily on the U.S.
In summary, Trump’s latest remarks signal potential economic tensions with India, the EU, and continued pressure on China, reflecting his strong stance on U.S. trade interests.
