NADRA Simplifies Process for Getting Succession Certificate
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced major changes to make it easier for people to get Succession Certificates. Now, legal heirs can apply at any of the 186 Succession Facilitation Units (SFUs) across the country, regardless of where the inherited property is located.
Applications Accepted Nationwide
As per the new notification, these SFUs are available in NADRA centers across Islamabad, Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan. “Legal heirs can now submit applications for succession certificates… regardless of where the inherited property is located.”
Improved Biometric Process
NADRA has also improved the biometric verification process. Legal heirs can now verify their identity either by visiting a nearby NADRA center or directly from home using the Pak ID Mobile App.
No More Provincial Limitations
Previously, heirs had to file for a succession certificate in the province where the property was located, which made the process difficult for those living elsewhere. “With this new development, NADRA has eliminated that restriction,” allowing heirs to complete the procedure from anywhere in Pakistan.
Official Notification Issued
A NADRA spokesperson confirmed that all relevant centers have been informed about this update. “Official notifications have been issued to all NADRA centers with SFUs, enabling citizens to avail this service at the location most convenient to them.”
