In an exclusive conversation, renowned actor Mustafa Qureshi shared his personal reflections on the struggle for Pakistan’s independence and the role of national heroes in shaping collective consciousness.

“The name of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was deeply imprinted in our hearts and minds,” Qureshi recalled.

He reflected on his childhood memories, saying, “When I was a schoolboy, I would carry the Pakistani flag through the streets, shouting ‘Pakistan Zindabad!'”

Qureshi expressed the deep passion he felt from a young age, adding, “From a young age, I felt a strong passion — that we were finally becoming free.”

He highlighted the harsh realities under colonial rule: “When we were under British rule, we didn’t even know what freedom truly meant.”

Acknowledging the pivotal role of Pakistan’s founder, Qureshi said, “It was Quaid-e-Azam who taught us the real value of freedom and what it actually is.”
