Shigar – In an emotional statement, a senior leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Imran Nadeem from Shigar paid tribute to the late retired bureaucrat GM Sikander, remembering him as a guiding figure, mentor, and a cherished family member.
“Innā lillāhi wa innā ilayhi rājiʿūn. Today, I bid farewell to my beloved mamu — my mentor, my best friend, and the one who stood by me through every trial in life,” the PPP leader shared.
He added that after the passing of his mother, GM Sikander became his source of strength and support. “He never let me feel the absence of my mother. His prayers, advice, and sacrifices came from a heart full of love. I owe much of who I am today to him.”
Describing the loss as deeply personal, the PPP leader said, “My heart is heavy and my world feels emptier without him. I will forever carry his teachings and love with me.”
He concluded the tribute by asking for prayers for the departed soul, saying, “May Allah forgive his shortcomings, fill his grave with noor, and grant him the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous. Ameen.”
GM Sikander was a respected and senior retired bureaucrat known for his service, integrity, and contributions to the community. His passing is being mourned widely across the region.
