Faster Visa Processing
ISLAMABAD – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting on visa issuance at Pakistani missions abroad, directing officials to speed up the process and make it more transparent.
The meeting reviewed reforms introduced to improve visa services, as well as progress made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in implementing these measures.
Dar instructed that the visa process should be made more efficient to improve overall performance and ensure quick service delivery. He emphasized providing maximum facilities to overseas Pakistanis and foreign investors to encourage business and strengthen ties.
Earlier, Pakistan-Tajikistan Joint Counter Terrorism Exercise Dosti-ll was conducted from 4-9 August 2026 at Fakhrobod Base, Tajikistan.
2 x Combat Teams from the Light Commando Battalion, Pakistan Army, and 4 x Combat Teams from the Tajikistan Special Forces participated in the exercise. All training and military diplomacy objectives were achieved successfully.
Exercise was concluded on 9 August 2026. DA (P) Tajikistan Colonel Muhammad Muazzam Zafar graced the ceremony as the chief guest from the Pakistan side; while senior military officials from Tajikistan were also in attendance. The troops from both countries displayed the highest standards of professional excellence during the conduct.
