NAB Recovers Record Rs 547 Billion in Six Months

NAB Record Billion Recovery
ISLAMABAD – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has announced a record recovery of over Rs 547 billion during the first six months of 2025, reaffirming its commitment to protect public interest and return looted national wealth.
According to NAB data, the authority recovered Rs 345.3 billion in the second quarter of 2025 (April–June) alone, while Rs 31.547 billion was recovered in the first quarter. During the same period, movable and immovable assets worth Rs 33.532 billion were handed over to federal and provincial ministries, departments, and financial institutions.
NAB also returned money to 12,611 victims in various fraud cases.
Key recoveries include:
NAB Rawalpindi: Recovered 51 kanals of valuable government land worth Rs 29 billion in Sector 11-E, Islamabad, and handed it to the Capital Development Authority (CDA). In the “B4U” fraud case, Rs 3 billion was recovered for distribution among 17,214 victims.
NAB Sukkur: Recovered National Highway Authority land worth Rs 25 billion, and 127 kanals 15 marla of Sindh Education and Literacy Department land worth Rs 160.895 million.
NAB Lahore: Distributed Rs 3.2 billion among 11,880 victims in the Eden case, and recovered 8 properties worth Rs 9.3 billion in the Pak Arab Housing case to be given in cash to 2,500 victims.
NAB stated that these recoveries demonstrate its resolve to hold the corrupt accountable and ensure restitution for affected citizens.
