Dumper Association Citywide Protest
Karachi: The protest by dumper truck owners on Rashid Minhas Road in Karachi came to a peaceful end after successful negotiations between Sindh Information and Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon and the Dumper Association. The protest had caused major traffic disruption in the city, leading to inconvenience for commuters and residents.
During the negotiations, Sharjeel Memon assured the dumper owners that the Sindh government would compensate them for the financial losses they have suffered. He acknowledged their concerns and promised that necessary action would be taken to address their grievances. The minister also emphasized the importance of keeping public roads clear and maintaining law and order in the city.
Following the assurance, the Dumper Association announced that the government had agreed to fulfill their demands and that compensation would be paid by tomorrow. A spokesperson for the association confirmed their satisfaction with the outcome of the meeting and expressed hope that the government would deliver on its promises within the agreed time frame.
As a result of the successful talks, the Dumper Association has officially called off the protest at all locations across Karachi. Normal traffic flow has resumed, and citizens have welcomed the decision, hoping that such issues will be resolved through dialogue in the future to avoid public inconvenience.
