Quetta – A powerful explosion on the railway track near Spezand Railway Station in Balochistan caused six coaches of the Jaffar Express to derail. The train was traveling from Quetta to Peshawar at the time of the incident.
According to railway officials, the blast occurred on the main line connecting all four provinces, severely damaging the train. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. Security forces promptly cordoned off the area, and an investigation is currently underway.
Spezand is a remote town and union council located in the Mastung District of Balochistan.
Attempts to target the Jaffar Express have been on the rise. Just a few days ago, the train’s track was also targeted with a bomb explosion. In a separate earlier incident, the pilot engine of the train came under gunfire.
In the past, terrorists from the separatist group “Fitna al-Hindustan” attacked the Jaffar Express, killing several passengers and taking others hostage. Security forces responded with a successful operation, eliminating the terrorists and rescuing the hostages.
