May 9 Cases: ATC Orders Properties Seizure of Yasmin Rashid, Omar Sarfraz, and Others
There has been a major development in the two cases related to the May 9 arson and rioting incidents.
The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore has ordered the confiscation of properties belonging to Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Omar Sarfraz Cheema, Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, and Ejaz Chaudhry. The court has also issued jail warrants for the convicted individuals.
Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Ejaz Ahmed Chaudhry, Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, and Omar Sarfraz have been sentenced to 10 years in prison and fined Rs. 600,000 each.
The accused were booked in cases registered at Shadman Police Station and Sarwar Road Police Station.
The court had delivered its verdict in both cases the previous day, and issued jail warrants to the prison superintendent accordingly.
