Punjab CM Announces 100 More Electric Buses Loaded in China

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif revealed on her social media (X) that a new batch of 100 electric buses is being loaded at China’s Yantai Port for shipment to Pakistan.

These modern, eco‑friendly buses are destined for underserved districts across Punjab where public transport is limited, including Mianwali, Okara, Nankana Sahib, Muzaffargarh, Vehari, Pakpattan, and Dera Ghazi Khan.

The CM confirmed that fares for these buses will be just ₹20, making them affordable for everyday commuters.

Each bus will be air-conditioned, equipped with Wi-Fi, fully automated ticketing, and designed to accommodate passengers with disabilities.
