Punjab announces plan for Marka-i-Haq monument, park, and museum
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced plans to build the Marka-i-Haq Monument, Park, and Museum to remember the “Battle of Truth.” The announcement was made during a ceremony at the Expo Centre on Thursday, where veteran musicians were honored.
The event included national songs by Sahir Ali Bagga and other artists, a special musical film about the “Battle of Truth,” and a documentary showing details of the planned monument, museum, and park.
The ceremony was attended by government ministers, diplomats from friendly countries, and senior military and civil officials. Maryam Nawaz also spent time with the musicians, praising their work and recognizing their role in preserving Pakistan’s cultural heritage.
Earlier, in her Independence Day message, the chief minister highlighted the importance of sharing stories of the freedom struggle with future generations. She also stressed the need to protect Pakistan’s independence.
The upcoming monument, park, and museum will pay tribute to the nation’s resilience and honor the sacrifices made to protect the country’s sovereignty. These landmarks are expected to become important cultural and educational sites in Punjab.
