Flood Situation in Swat
Swat: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, held a press conference to address the recent flood situation in the province.
He said that some areas are currently on alert and the government is actively working to manage the situation. Surveys have been started in various parts of the province to assess the damage.
Chief Minister Gandapur assured the public that all losses will be compensated. He emphasized that such disasters can affect entire generations, and it is the government’s responsibility to protect the people.
“We will rebuild homes destroyed by the floods,” he stated. “Our aim is to relocate people living in flood-prone areas to safer locations.”
Speaking on encroachments, Gandapur said this is not a new issue and has existed for many years. He highlighted that a major anti-encroachment operation was successfully carried out in Dera Ismail Khan (D.I. Khan).
He thanked the federal government for their support during this difficult time and mentioned that he is in contact with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to ensure continued help for flood victims.
