PIA to Provide Engineering Services to SriLankan Airlines

Karachi: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has signed an engineering services agreement with SriLankan Airlines, under which PIA will provide technical support for the airline’s operations at Lahore Airport.

According to the agreement, PIA will offer engineering services for SriLankan Airlines’ four weekly flights operating from Lahore. This collaboration is expected to contribute positively to Pakistan’s foreign exchange earnings.

A PIA spokesperson said that SriLankan Airlines’ decision to use PIA’s engineering services reflects strong confidence in PIA’s technical capabilities. PIA Engineering is already providing services to several domestic and international airlines.

To mark the occasion, a cake-cutting ceremony was held onboard an aircraft at Lahore Airport with the SriLankan Airlines crew.

This agreement is another step toward strengthening PIA’s role in the regional aviation sector and showcasing its engineering expertise on an international level.
