KE urges safety as heavy monsoon rains flood Karachi

KARACHI: After the city was hit by torrential monsoon rains, K-Electric’s Chief Distribution and MarComms Officer, Sadia Dada, issued a public safety advisory for residents.

She said that due to the heavy downpour and unusual rainfall, several city roads are submerged, making it difficult for KE teams to move around and restore services quickly.

“In these emergency conditions, citizens must prioritize their safety,” she stressed.

Sadia Dada advised people to avoid touching electrical appliances, switches, or boards with wet hands or feet to prevent accidents.

K-Electric teams are on the ground working despite challenges, but the company reminded residents that safety comes first during the ongoing rain emergency.
