Aleema Khan’s Second Son Sher Shah Taken Into Custody in May 9 Case

Police have detained Sher Shah, the second son of PTI founder Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, in connection with the May 9 case. This development comes a day after her elder son, Shahraiz Khan, was remanded by an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC).

According to Lahore police, Sher Shah has been taken into custody and will be interrogated regarding his role in the May 9, 2023 attack on Jinnah House. SSP Investigation confirmed the detention, stating that further questioning will take place in the coming days.

Earlier, police had arrested Shahraiz Khan from Zaman Park and presented him in the Lahore ATC. Authorities had sought a one-month physical remand. However, the court rejected the request and instead granted an 8-day physical remand.

The court’s decision came after arguments from Shahraiz’s lawyer, Salman Akram Raja, who opposed the extended remand period.

With Sher Shah now in custody, police say investigations into the May 9 case will continue, as more suspects are being identified in connection with the attack.
