How to Get a Free E-Bike from Workers Welfare Board Sindh
Karachi: The Workers Welfare Board Sindh (WWBS) has launched a landmark program to provide 10,000 free electric motorcycles to female industrial workers.
Officials say the initiative will promote women’s empowerment, workplace equity, and environmental sustainability across Sindh.
Transparent Selection Through Digital Balloting
According to Secretary Labour Rasheed Ahmed Thaheem, applications will be processed through a digital balloting system to ensure fairness and eliminate human interference.
Women selected in the draw must obtain a driving license within 60 days. The program also requires recipients to retain the e-bike for at least seven years.
Thaheem highlighted that the project is aimed at empowering women, acknowledging their key role in Pakistan’s progress. “The country cannot move forward without women’s development,” he said.
Eligibility Criteria
Women aged 20–45 years employed in industries registered under EOBI/SESSI
20% quota reserved for minorities
Selection through digital balloting
7-year retention of the e-bike
60-day grace period for obtaining a driving license
E-Bike Specifications
Motor: 1500W DC motor
Battery: 60V 30Ah Lithium Iron Phosphate
Range: 75–100 km per charge
Safety: Drum brake system
Charging: Standard plug-in system
How to Apply
Eligible women can apply through the official WWBS online portal:

Applications will be verified through CNIC, EOBI/SESSI registration, and employer certification before being entered into the digital ballot.
This scheme is expected to provide safe, reliable, and eco-friendly transportation for working women across Sindh.
