Ishaq Dar Thanks Bangladesh for Invitation, Calls for Stronger Ties

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar expressed gratitude to the Bangladeshi government for inviting him on an official visit, saying it was a matter of great happiness to visit Bangladesh after many years.

Dar highlighted that Pakistan and Bangladesh share common religious, cultural, and social traditions, and both nations enjoy historic and brotherly relations. He said Pakistan seeks to enhance cooperation with all stakeholders in Bangladesh.

“Both our peoples want peace, stability, and prosperity in the region,” Dar noted, adding that challenges like climate change and security threats require joint efforts.

The Deputy PM said bilateral relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh had grown over the past year, with vast opportunities for cooperation in trade and education.

Dar also emphasized Bangladesh’s important role in SAARC, saying that the organization must be made more effective for the development of the region.

He added that Pakistan and Bangladesh hold similar views on global and regional issues, which can help strengthen mutual understanding and cooperation.
