Ishaq Dar Meets Bangladeshi Foreign Advisor, Reviews All Aspects of Bilateral Relations

Dhaka: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, who arrived in Bangladesh yesterday on a landmark visit, held in-depth talks with Bangladesh’s Foreign Advisor Muhammad Tauheed Hussain.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on social media that both sides reviewed all aspects of bilateral relations, including high-level engagements, economic and trade collaboration, people-to-people connections, cultural exchanges, educational cooperation, capacity building, and humanitarian issues.

The discussions also covered regional and international matters, including the revival of SAARC, the Palestinian issue, and finding a solution to the Rohingya crisis.

The Ministry noted that the meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.

Meanwhile, Pakistan and Bangladesh signed six Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements. The signing took place under the supervision of the Deputy Prime Minister and Bangladesh’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs.

An agreement was signed to waive visas for diplomats and government officials. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Foreign Service Academies of Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Another MoU was signed between the Associated Press of Pakistan and Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha. Pakistan and Bangladesh also signed a Memorandum of Understanding for their Trade Joint Working Group. Finally, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed for the Cultural Exchange Program for 2025–2028.
