Israel’s Greater Israel Plan Threatens Peace: Pakistan
Jeddah: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to attend an emergency meeting of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers.
Addressing the meeting, he said that Israel’s “Greater Israel” plan is an unacceptable threat to peace and stressed that full and safe access of humanitarian aid to Gaza must be ensured.
He expressed gratitude to Turkey, Iran, and Palestine for hosting the conference. “At this moment, the blood of innocent Palestinians is being shed in Gaza. Israel is violating international laws, and the Palestinian people are being collectively punished,” he said.
Dar further stated that attacks on hospitals, schools, and refugee camps are clear violations of humanitarian law. He noted that Palestinians have been subjected to atrocities for two years, adding that a famine is underway in Palestine and immediate measures are urgently required.
The Deputy Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Arab countries. He also urged the international community to take strong action against Israel and emphasized the need for an immediate, permanent, and unconditional ceasefire.
Earlier, Ishaq Dar was received in Saudi Arabia by Pakistani Ambassador Ahmed Farooq and Consul General Khalid Majeed upon his arrival for the OIC meeting.
