PPP Leader Imran Nadeem Visits Flood-Hit Hoshopi, Announces Relief Measures
Shigar: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior vice president and Red Crescent chairman, Imran Nadeem, visited Hoshopi and Horchas areas of Gilgit-Baltistan to review the damage caused by recent floods.
During his visit, he inspected destroyed homes, damaged crops, and the dangerous flow of floodwater in the local stream. He also met with residents to hear their concerns.
Imran Nadeem announced that as soon as the water level recedes, an excavator will be provided to clear and restore the stream. He said:
“Although I am not in government, I will make full efforts through NGOs and the Red Crescent to provide support, especially for protective bunds and restoration work.”
He further added that the Red Crescent team will soon arrive in Hoshopi to carry out an assessment of damaged houses and crops, and steps will be taken for compensation and relief.
Imran Nadeem emphasized that the PPP has always stood with the people. “In this difficult time, we believe not only in making promises but in taking practical steps,” he said.
Local residents welcomed his visit and appreciated the relief commitments.
