Good News: Petroleum Prices Likely to Drop from September 1

Islamabad: There is a possibility of a drop in petroleum product prices from September 1.

According to the proposal, the price of high-speed diesel may be reduced by Rs. 3.31 per liter. Petrol is expected to become cheaper by 61 paisa per liter, while kerosene oil may see a reduction of Rs. 1.57 per liter. A decrease of up to Rs. 2.61 per liter has also been recommended in the price of light diesel.

The Oil Companies Advisory Council has prepared its working on petroleum product prices. Sources said that OGRA will send its working to the government on August 31. The final decision on petroleum product prices will be made by the Prime Minister, sources added.
