PM Shehbaz SCO Summit in China
ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif will visit China to attend the 25th Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in Tianjin.
During the visit, PM Shehbaz will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang to discuss trade, investment, CPEC, and regional cooperation. He will also attend the military parade in Beijing marking the 80th anniversary of the World’s Anti-Fascist War, along with other global leaders.
The prime minister is scheduled to address the Sino-Pak B2B Investment Conference and hold meetings with leading Chinese businessmen to boost bilateral trade and investment.
According to the Foreign Office, the visit aims to strengthen the Pakistan-China “All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership,” advance the second phase of CPEC, and promote regional peace and development.
Leaders from Russia, India, Central Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East will also participate in the SCO Summit, which focuses this year on security, economic cooperation, and long-term strategic planning.
