Thomas Eberhard takes over as new German Consul General in Karachi

Thomas Eberhard Schultze has officially taken charge as the new Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Karachi.

Mr. Schultze is an experienced diplomat with a strong background in international relations. Before coming to Karachi, he served as the Consul General in Toronto and also worked as the German Ambassador to Croatia. He has held important roles in the German Foreign Office, including Head of Division for visa law and court-related matters.

Since taking office in Karachi, Mr. Schultze has been meeting with key officials in Sindh to strengthen ties between Pakistan and Germany. He met with the Sindh Chief Minister and Governor to discuss cooperation in different areas.

He also held talks with representatives of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) to explore new opportunities for boosting trade and business.

“The German consulate general in Karachi looks forward to continuing its efforts to promote economic, cultural, and diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Germany under Consul General Schultze’s leadership,” the press release concluded.
