Petroleum Prices in Pakistan Set to Rise Again from October 1
ISLAMABAD – The prices of petroleum products in Pakistan are expected to be reduced from September 1, sources confirmed on Saturday.
According to the Oil Companies Advisory Council (OCAC), the proposed price changes include a reduction of Rs3.31 per litre in high-speed diesel, while petrol prices may drop by 61 paisas per litre. Similarly, the price of kerosene oil may decrease by Rs1.57 per litre, and light diesel oil could be reduced by Rs2.61 per litre.
The OCAC has already prepared its price working, while the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) will submit its final summary to the government later today.
Sources said that the Prime Minister will give the final approval, after which the Finance Ministry will officially announce the new prices tonight.
The proposed cuts come amid fluctuations in international oil prices, offering slight relief to consumers across the country.
