In Kandiyaro, the water level in the Indus River has risen sharply, submerging several low-lying areas. Due to the flooding, residents in nearby villages have been forced to evacuate without official help, relying on self-efforts to relocate to safer areas.

A deadly land dispute in Shikarpur resulted in the deaths of two individuals after gunfire broke out between rival parties. Local authorities have launched an investigation into the matter.

In a tragic incident reported from Dina, a woman and her two children lost their lives after allegedly consuming a poisonous substance. Police have stated that it is still unclear whether the incident was a case of suicide or an accident. The bodies have been moved to a nearby hospital for post-mortem examination, and investigations are ongoing.

A horrific murder was reported in Renala Khurd, where an orphaned girl was brutally killed with axe blows. Police have registered a case on the complaint of her uncle, naming her grandfather and three unidentified persons as suspects. Initial investigations reveal the girl owned 22 shops and 14 acres of agricultural land. Authorities suspect the motive could be linked to a property dispute or possibly an “honour”-related issue.

In another case in Renala Khurd, two brothers were targeted in a firing incident, leaving one dead and the other critically injured. Police identified the deceased as Babar and the injured as Ali. The motive for the attack has not yet been determined, and an investigation is underway.

In Dera Ghazi Khan, police arrested two women accused of selling drugs in local colleges. Authorities recovered 2,510 grams of hashish from their possession. A formal case has been registered.

Meanwhile, in Kandhkot, a young man was shot dead by unidentified armed individuals. The victim’s family staged a protest on the Indus Highway, demanding immediate justice and the arrest of the culprits.

These events highlight a day filled with natural disasters, violent crimes, and social challenges, putting pressure on law enforcement and disaster management agencies to respond swiftly and effectively.
