Strong Earthquake Tremors Felt Across Punjab, KP
Strong tremors from an earthquake were felt in various parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to details, tremors were felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Jhelum, Chakwal, Attock, Talagang, Kallar Kahar, Choa Saidan Shah, Gujranwala, Jhang, Jhalapur Bhattian, Daska, Pind Dadan Khan, Farooqabad, Toba Tek Singh, Khushab, and Pir Mahal.
Peshawar, Swat, Malakand, Mansehra, Hangu, Abbottabad, Kohat, Charsadda, Mardan, Nowshera, Bannu, Buner, South and North Waziristan, Lower Dir, Parachinar, Mohmand, Muzaffarabad, Mirpur Azad Kashmir, Kotli, Mangla, Dadyal, Chakswari, Islamgarh, Chilas, Kohistan, and nearby areas also experienced tremors.
The earthquake lasted for about 10 seconds, forcing residents to rush out of their homes.
According to the seismic monitoring center, the earthquake had a magnitude of 6.0 and a depth of 15 kilometers, with its epicenter located near the Pak-Afghan border in the Hindu Kush region.
