Public Holiday Declared in Punjab for 12 Rabi-ul-Awal

Lahore – The Punjab government has officially declared a public holiday on September 6, and another holiday on Saturday, 12 Rabi-ul-Awal, to mark the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (ﷺ) – the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

According to the official notification, all government offices across the province will remain closed on 12 Rabi-ul-Awal. The Civil Secretariat, which is usually closed on Saturdays, will also be part of the official holiday.

While emergency services in the health sector will remain operational, hospital administrative offices and OPDs (Outpatient Departments) will be closed for the day.

Eid Milad-un-Nabi (ﷺ) is celebrated every year with religious and cultural events across the province, including processions, special prayers, and gatherings to honor the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
