Dr Nabiha Ali Rejects Ownership Dispute, Urges Focus on Lahore Flood Victims

LAHORE – Recent floods in Lahore’s Park View Society have caused severe damage to homes and also sparked a dispute over property ownership, after a video of resident Dr. Nabiha Ali Khan went viral on social media.

Heavy flooding from the overflowing Ravi River submerged several housing societies on the outskirts of the city, including Park View Society. Many residents posted videos of destruction, with Dr. Nabiha highlighting the heavy financial losses her family suffered.

She explained that her family had been living in the society for two years in a house built five years ago on land purchased by her brother. She said millions were invested in the property due to the society’s secure environment.

However, another resident, Muzammil, later appeared in a video claiming to be the legal owner of the house, which he said he purchased in 2024 from Dr. Nabiha’s brother. He alleged that Dr. Nabiha was living there as a tenant and accused her of misrepresentation.

In response, Dr. Nabiha clarified that she never claimed ownership. “The issue is not about who owns the house, but the damage and trauma caused by the floods,” she said. She stressed that her video aimed to raise awareness about the destruction in the Overseas Block of Park View Society, not for personal gain.

She further emphasized that her appeal was on behalf of all flood-affected families in the area, urging authorities to address their plight.
