Karachi Traffic Police Issue Plan for 12 Rabi ul Awal Processions
The Karachi Traffic Police have announced a detailed traffic plan for the 12 Rabi ul Awal processions taking place in the city on Saturday.
Eid Milad un Nabi (PBUH) is celebrated every year with religious passion, and large processions are held across the country, including Karachi.
Processions and Restrictions
According to the traffic police spokesperson, all SSPs will supervise the processions in their districts. Two main processions will begin from Memon Masjid in the afternoon.
The first will start at 2:30pm and end at Aram Bagh Masjid.
The central procession, led by Maulana Shah Abdul Haq Qadri, will begin at 3:00pm and conclude at Nishtar Park.
During this time, no vehicles will be allowed on MA Jinnah Road, except those with official procession stickers.
Alternative Routes
District Central: Traffic from Nazimabad can use Lasbela Chowk via Nishtar Road toward Garden. From Liaquatabad, vehicles may move from Teen Hatti to Lasbela Chowk and turn toward Central Jail. From Hassan Square, motorists can use Kashmir Road, Shahrah-e-Quaideen, and Jail Flyover. No entry will be allowed from Guru Mandir to Numaish.
District East: Traffic from Shahrah-e-Faisal can use Shahrah-e-Quaideen and Kashmir Road. Vehicles from Jamshed Road toward Guru Mandir may use Bahadur Yar Jang Road and Soldier Bazaar.
District South: From Garden Zoo to MA Jinnah Road, traffic will divert from Uncle Sarya to Gul Plaza. From Lucky Star to Empress Market, traffic will divert toward PPP Chowrangi. Toward Burns Road, vehicles will move from Abdullah Haroon Road to MR Kiyani Chowk. From Shahrah-e-Liaquat, traffic will divert from Aram Bagh signal to Pakistan Chowk.
Heavy Vehicles Ban
Traffic police confirmed that all heavy and commercial vehicles will be banned across Karachi on 12 Rabi ul Awal.
Citizens are advised to use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience and delays.
