Rana Sanaullah Condemns Egg Attack on Aleema Khan
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s Adviser on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, has strongly condemned the incident involving Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan.
Speaking to media, Rana Sanaullah said Aleema Khan is an elderly and loyal sister, and what happened to her is “highly condemnable.” He stressed that such actions should be condemned without political references or commentary.
He added that whoever is responsible must be punished, regardless of political affiliation. “This is not the way to protest. Any act against a woman is unacceptable,” he said.
Rana Sanaullah further noted that such incidents do not diminish Aleema Khan’s respect but rather increase public sympathy for her and the party.
The incident took place today outside Adiala Jail, where Aleema Khan was speaking to the media when two eggs were thrown at her. One of the eggs hit her, causing commotion among PTI workers. Police detained two women at the scene and shifted them to Adiala police post.
According to a Rawalpindi police spokesperson, the women involved in throwing the eggs belong to PTI.
