NAROWAL – Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal on Sunday visited flood-affected areas and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to support victims during the crisis.
Speaking to the media, the minister accused India of attempting to weaponize water against Pakistan. “The world has now seen India’s true face as a cowardly state,” he said, adding that such actions could not break the resolve of the Pakistani nation.
Iqbal said both the federal and Punjab governments were actively engaged in relief and rehabilitation work. He praised the role of Pakistan’s armed forces, noting international recognition for their swift response to natural disasters.
“This is not the time for politics; it is the time to stand with the people,” he emphasized, urging unity in the face of adversity.
The minister assured citizens that all possible assistance would be provided to those affected by floods, stressing resilience and solidarity as the way forward.
