NADRA to open 13 new offices and mega centers in Sindh

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced that 13 new offices and mega centres will be set up in Sindh to make identity registration and documentation services easier for the public, according to reports.

The decision was made in a meeting between Sindh Chief Secretary Dr. Asif Haider Shah and a NADRA delegation. They also discussed digital property transfers and land record management as part of the province’s plan to move towards modern, online systems.

Dr. Asif Haider Shah said that Sindh is working on online property transfer systems to make services faster and more transparent. Both NADRA and the Sindh government agreed to work together to improve digital services, especially for rural communities.

Mayor Murtaza Wahab confirmed that NADRA counters will be set up in all union councils of Karachi. He shared this news while inaugurating an upgraded registration centre at Babar Market, Landhi.

New mega centres are also being developed in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulberg, and Surjani Town. These centres will have modern facilities, including wheelchair access, more seating space, and additional service counters to handle large crowds.

At the same time, passport processing counters have been set up at NADRA mega centres in Nazimabad and SITE, while new passport offices have opened in Karachi’s Central and Western districts. These changes are part of the Ministry of Interior’s plan to make passport and registration services more efficient.

In addition, NADRA has launched Pak ID Mobile App Version 5.0.0. The updated app includes a new dashboard, faster CNIC cancellation, improved search tools, and bilingual support in both Urdu and English, making it easier for people—especially in rural areas—to use.
