Pervaiz Elahi Vows to Restore Development Funds if He Returns to Power
GUJRAT – Former Punjab Chief Minister and PTI leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that if his party returns to power, all development funds taken away by the current government will be restored.
Speaking in Gujrat, Elahi highlighted that Rescue 1122, launched during his tenure, has benefited millions of people across Punjab. He claimed that his son, Moonis Elahi, had approved billions of rupees in funds for Gujrat, but the PML-N government withdrew them after coming into power.
PTI central leader Salman Akram Raja, who was also present, said that every worker must stand with the people. On this occasion, Pervaiz Elahi also distributed ration among flood-affected families on Qamar Sialvi Road.
Earlier, Elahi had expressed optimism about the future, saying one should always hope for betterment. Commenting on the political situation during an appearance in an accountability court, he remarked: “First there is resistance, then reconciliation. Reconciliation is always better as negotiations eventually lead to solutions.”
