Saudi Business Delegation to Visit Pakistan Next Month
A high-level Saudi business delegation is set to visit Pakistan next month to boost trade and investment between the two countries.
This visit is part of ongoing efforts following the recent historic defence agreement signed by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Riyadh on September 17, 2025.
The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) is facilitating the Saudi delegation’s visit. Senior officials from the Saudi Embassy recently met with Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) President Mian Abu Zar Shad. During the meeting, Saudi Commercial Attaché Naif bin Abdulaziz Al-Harbi announced plans to open a dedicated commercial desk at LCCI to support trade and business linkages.
Al-Harbi highlighted Saudi Arabia’s commitment to strengthening economic ties with Pakistan and improving trade efficiency by enabling direct exports from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, removing costly middlemen. He emphasized the goal of creating strong policies to enhance cooperation and people-to-people connections.
The Saudi delegation will hold business-to-business meetings with leading business figures across Punjab. Special sessions are planned with the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade and LCCI, with a possibility of involving chambers from other provinces.
LCCI President Mian Abu Zar Shad stressed the importance of trade over aid and suggested reviving the maritime ferry service between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to further boost commerce.
This visit is expected to strengthen economic cooperation and build on the recently signed strategic defence partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
