Lahore Court Sentences Man to 100 Years for Killing Family Over PUBG Obsession
Lahore, September 24, 2025 — A session court in Lahore has sentenced a man named Zain to 100 years in prison for killing his mother, brother, and two sisters.
The tragic murders took place in the Kahna area in 2022. According to police, Zain was addicted to the online game PUBG. On the night of the incident, he reportedly lost control after playing the game and opened fire on his family at around 2 am.
Court’s Decision
The verdict was delivered by Additional Session Judge Riyaz Ahmed. The judge handed down four consecutive life sentences, one for each murder. Zain was also fined Rs4 million.
The judge said the punishment reflected the seriousness of the crime. Killing four close family members in cold blood could not be taken lightly, he added.
Details of the Case
Prosecutor Habib-ur-Rehman presented strong evidence and key witnesses in court. After a lengthy trial, the court found Zain guilty of murdering his mother, two sisters, and brother.
Investigators said his actions were influenced by the aggressive and addictive nature of PUBG.
