Terrorists have ‘state patronage’ in Afghanistan: CM Balochistan
Chief Minister of Balochistan, Sarfraz Bugti, has said that terrorists will not be given any leniency under any circumstances.
Speaking at a press conference, the CM said the provincial government is taking strong steps to restore peace in Balochistan. He added that terrorists are targeting innocent civilians, but security forces are committed to stopping them.
Intelligence-Based Operation in Chagai
Bugti revealed that an intelligence-based operation was carried out in Chagai. During the operation:
A terrorist named Zubair and his associate were killed.
Their third partner, Jehanzeb, surrendered.
Security forces foiled several planned attacks on important installations.
The CM confirmed that one soldier was injured in the operation. He further stated that Jehanzeb admitted in a video statement that he was involved in different terror activities and also supplied weapons in Dalbandin.
Bugti described the capture of such a high-value target as a big success for the security forces. He emphasized that tough air and ground operations are necessary to eliminate terrorism.
The Chief Minister also urged the Afghan government not to allow its land to be used by terrorists. He said extremists are trying to mislead young people, but the government will not let anyone sabotage peace in Balochistan.
