Cambridge Offers Free Access to Answer Scripts for Pakistani O and A Level Students

27 September, 2025 13:39

For the first time, Cambridge International Examinations has introduced a system that allows O and A Level students in Pakistan to view their marked answer scripts online, completely free of charge.

This initiative is designed to promote transparency and give students the opportunity to review their scripts before deciding whether to apply for scrutiny. Unlike local examination boards in Pakistan, which do not allow matric or intermediate students to access their copies, Cambridge is providing this service without any fee.

The announcement was made in Karachi by Uzma Yousuf, Country Manager for Cambridge International in Pakistan, who was accompanied by Marketing Communication Manager Arsalan Rabbani. Yousuf explained that Cambridge-affiliated schools across Pakistan have been granted access to their students’ answer scripts for all subjects. Students can visit their respective institutions to view these scripts and apply for re-checking if required. She emphasized that neither schools nor students will be charged for the facility.

Highlighting Pakistan’s strong participation in Cambridge programs, Yousuf revealed that the country now has the highest number of Cambridge O and A Level students in the world, with over 130,000 enrolled, followed by the United States, China, India, and Dubai.

She also shared that around 800 schools in Pakistan are affiliated with Cambridge. Regarding future expansion, discussions have been held with Sindh Education Minister Sardar Shah about linking government schools with Cambridge. The initial phase will focus on teacher training, for which Sindh already has a dedicated institution.
