Two Relief Flights from China Arrive for Flood Victims
Two relief flights from China arrived in Pakistan on Sunday, delivering essential aid for families displaced by recent floods. The aircraft carried 300 tents and 9,000 blankets to assist those affected.
A reception ceremony was held to mark the arrival of the aid, attended by Federal Minister Engr. Amir Muqam, Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Lt Gen Inam Haider Malik, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong, and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and NDMA.
Chairman NDMA stated that “China has once again reaffirmed its role as Pakistan’s steadfast friend by extending timely relief assistance for flood-affected communities across the country.” He noted that the support will enhance NDMA’s ongoing relief operations, particularly in flood-hit areas of Punjab.
Speaking at the event, Federal Minister Amir Muqam expressed appreciation for China’s timely support, saying that “the assistance will bring much needed relief to thousands of flood-affected families.”
