Electricity Prices Likely to Rise by 19 Paisa per Unit Across Pakistan

Islamabad: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) will hold a public hearing today to consider a request for increasing electricity prices by 19 paisa per unit. This increase is part of the monthly adjustment for August 2025.

The Consumer Protection Association (CPPA) has submitted the request for the adjustment. If approved, the price hike will affect Karachi and other cities across the country.

The increase will also apply to electricity bills from K-Electric. It is expected that the August adjustment will be reflected in the electricity bills issued in October.
