Petroleum Prices in Pakistan Set to Rise Again from October 1
ISLAMABAD: Petroleum product prices are expected to increase once more starting October 1, according to the oil industry. The rise could range from Rs 1.97 to Rs 4.65 per liter.
Private TV reports indicate that petrol may become Rs 1.97 per liter more expensive, while high-speed diesel could see an increase of Rs 2.48 per liter. Light diesel oil is expected to rise by Rs 1.76 per liter, and kerosene oil may go up by Rs 4.65 per liter.
A summary of the revised prices will be sent to the Ministry of Finance by the Petroleum Division through OGRA. The final announcement will be made after approval from the Prime Minister.
Earlier, on September 16, the government did not revise petrol prices, while high-speed diesel prices were increased by Rs 2.78 per liter.
