Israel Apologizes to Qatar Over Doha Strike, Agrees to Avoid Future Attacks

30 September, 2025 09:23

Israel has officially apologized to Qatar over a recent attack in Doha, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressing regret over the incident in a direct conversation with Qatar’s Prime Minister. Netanyahu assured Qatar that there would be no repeat of such actions in the future.

The conversation took place during a trilateral phone call hosted by U.S. President Donald Trump, who facilitated dialogue between the two Middle Eastern leaders. During the call, Trump expressed his desire to move relations in a more positive direction and encouraged both countries to cooperate on future regional stability efforts.

Both Netanyahu and the Qatari Prime Minister reportedly agreed to the formation of a trilateral mechanism to strengthen communication and avoid future misunderstandings.

The leaders also discussed a proposed ceasefire plan for Gaza, which has seen escalating violence in recent months. The call included talks on how to make the broader Middle East region more secure.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Authority welcomed President Trump’s efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza. In a statement, Palestinian officials said they are ready to work with the United States toward peace based on the two-state solution.

This development is being seen as a potential diplomatic breakthrough as efforts continue to ease tensions in the region.
