More UAE Visit Visa Choices Now Open for Pakistanis

The UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) has approved important amendments and additions to its entry visa regulations for foreign nationals. These changes aim to broaden visa options and accommodate a wider range of applicants.

According to a report by WAM news, the UAE has launched four new visit visa categories designed specifically for specialists in artificial intelligence, entertainment, events, cruise ships, and leisure boats. In addition, the country has introduced a humanitarian residence permit valid for one year, which can be extended subject to approval by the relevant authorities.

“Moreover, a residence permit for a foreign widow or divorcee is granted for one year, with the possibility of renewal for a similar period, subject to defined conditions,” the report stated.

Another notable update allows UAE residents to sponsor visit visas for friends or relatives up to the third degree of relation, depending on the sponsor’s income level.

For those seeking a business visa, applicants must demonstrate financial stability through various means, including the ability to launch a new business, ownership of shares in an overseas company, or a verified record of professional experience.

Conversely, the newly established truck driver visa requires applicants to have a sponsor within the destination country and fulfill specific health and financial requirements.

The updated regulations also clearly define the authorized duration of stay for each visa category, along with conditions for possible extensions, as outlined by the UAE’s official news outlet.
