Maryam Nawaz Gifts 40 New Electric Buses to Lahore

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced the gift of 40 new electric buses to Lahore, aiming to improve public transport in the city. She said the electric buses are a special gift for the people and that more buses will be added soon.

Speaking at an event in Lahore, Maryam Nawaz said providing the best travel facilities to the public is her top priority. She added that electric buses will be expanded across the entire Punjab province.

Maryam Nawaz also mentioned that metro bus services have been extended to every part of Punjab. She said many people visiting Lahore feel like they are in another country because of the modern transport system.

The electric buses come with internet facilities to make travel comfortable. She expressed pride in the progress of Punjab and said public transport is still missing in many cities, which she plans to improve.

Addressing the people of Mianwali, she said they are happy with the new buses and recalled that someone from Mianwali had also reached a top political position.

Maryam Nawaz said she is working day and night to ensure the safety of the public. She also announced new metro bus projects for Faisalabad and Gujranwala, expected to start in November.

In addition, she promised to provide ration cards to 2 million families, with a monthly allowance of 3,000 rupees.

To tackle smog, she said vehicles are being sprayed across the province, and that soon Punjab will have a clear Air Quality Index (AQI) for everyone to see.
