Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has welcomed the success of negotiations in Azad Kashmir, saying that conspiracies and rumors have finally come to an end.
He praised the efforts of the negotiation committee, calling the restoration of peace and normalcy a positive step. The Prime Minister stated that all issues were resolved smoothly and assured that the government is always ready to address the problems of the Kashmiri people.
Talks between the government and the Public Action Committee were successful, and a written agreement was signed late at night.
Prime Minister Shehbaz emphasized that public interest and peace are top priorities. He said, “We will continue to serve Azad Kashmir and request our Kashmiri brothers and sisters not to pay attention to rumors. We have always protected their rights and will continue to do so.”
It is important to note that the Prime Minister had earlier formed a negotiation committee after protests by the Public Action Committee in Azad Kashmir. The committee held several sessions with the group, leading to a peaceful agreement.
Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal called the agreement a victory for Azad Kashmir, Pakistan, and democracy. The Public Action Committee thanked PM Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief General Asim Munir for taking special interest in resolving the matter. They also stated, “This was our internal issue, and we resolved it in the best possible way. We will not allow any foreign interference in our matters.”
