RAWALPINDI: The cross-examination of the final witness in the Toshakhana-2 case against PTI founder and his wife Bushra Bibi has been completed. The court has now provided both accused with a questionnaire under Section 342 of the Criminal Procedure Code and asked them to submit their responses at the next hearing.

The hearing took place at the Special Central Court in Rawalpindi before Judge Shahrukh Arjumand. Imran Khan was represented by lawyer Qausain Faisal Mufti, while Federal Prosecutor Zulfiqar Abbas Naqvi and Barrister Umair Majeed appeared for the prosecution. Prominent lawyers including Salman Akram Raja, Barrister Saif, Ali Zafar, Mishal Yousafzai, and Ahmed Musarrat were also present. Three sisters of Imran Khan were in attendance in the courtroom.

During the proceedings, defense counsel Qausain Mufti cross-examined NAB’s investigating officer, Mohsin Haroon. With this, the testimony and questioning of all prosecution witnesses have concluded.

The judge adjourned the hearing until October 8, instructing the accused to respond to the court’s questionnaire by that date.

It is important to note that Imran Khan remains under investigation in multiple cases, including other Toshakhana-related charges. His party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has also been accused of involvement in the May 9 attacks, which have been described by the government as one of the most serious incidents in Pakistan’s recent political history.
