Pakistan Army’s Major Sibtain Haider martyred, 7 terrorists killed in DI Khan operation

Dera Ismail Khan: On October 8, 2025, Pakistan’s Security Forces carried out a successful intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Daraban area of Dera Ismail Khan District, targeting the reported presence of terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy group Fitna al Khwarij.

According to an official statement, seven Indian-sponsored Khwarij were killed during an intense exchange of fire. The operation was launched after credible intelligence confirmed the terrorists’ presence in the region.

Security forces engaged the militants effectively, neutralizing them before they could flee. The killed terrorists had been involved in several terror attacks on security forces, law enforcement agencies, and innocent civilians across the region.

During the fierce gunfight, Major Sibtain Haider, aged 30 and a resident of District Quetta, embraced shahadat while leading his troops from the front.

The Pakistan Army paid tribute to the brave officer, recognizing his courage, leadership, and ultimate sacrifice for the nation. Officials stated that Major Haider fought gallantly, displaying unwavering determination against the enemy.

Following the encounter, weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed terrorists. Initial assessments suggest that the group was planning further attacks to destabilize peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

A sanitization operation is now underway to eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored militants hiding in the area.

Security officials reaffirmed Pakistan’s unshakable resolve to eradicate terrorism and its foreign sponsors from the country.

“The sacrifices of our brave sons like Major Sibtain Haider strengthen our determination to cleanse Pakistan of all forms of terrorism,” the statement added.

The nation mourns the loss of another hero who gave his life protecting Pakistan’s sovereignty and peace.
